Welcome to ‘Meet The Abunai! Staff’, a column in which you’ll be introduced to our staff members. Staff members, they’re just like people! We’d love for you to get more acquainted with our dear volunteers and to accomplish this, they graciously agreed to be interviewed after I threatened them. Hello hello, Naomi! As Staff member, she’s part of Team Cosplay. She’s also an accomplished Cosplayer herself.

Unique thingy?: I am an unending splash of hyperactivity. seriously ask anyone on staff.
Hobbies: I love drawing, reading, writing and singing…. that last one might not be my best talent though haha. And I love cosplay.
What do you like most about (your position at) Abunai?
As a cosplayer myself, I do see what kinds of lectures and workshops might interest other cosplayers. I also love helping people which I hope I do by helping to organise these events.
What’s your favorite Abunai! memory?
just walking around and seeing friends everywhere. I can’t walk for 5 minutes without finding a friend to talk to.

Neutral Good
Do you prefer weeb or otaku?
Neither, to be honest I’m not much into anime anymore, but I did call myself a dweeb haha.
If you were a magical girl, what style would your outfit be and what would your power be?
I’d either have a jumpsuit or a casual chic style of clothing no mini skirt for me. and probably water powers.
Playstation, PC, Xbox, or Nintendo?
I have consoles from each an I love all of them, I’m a terrible gamer though.
If you were to write a self-insert fic, to which anime/manga/game would you transport yourself to? And with which character would you start a relationship?
I’d put myself into something star wars related, be a jedi or smuggler and probably try to ensnare Obi wan Kenobi…. ( I know Star Wars trash I am)

What are you looking most forward to this Abunai?
just running around to get everything done and enjoying myself while working there.

Cosplay is amazing, don’t bully others for not having the right body type or having a cosplay that’s not 100% accurate. it’s all about fun! be nice and enjoy yourself.
