Accessibility

We’re committed to making Abunai! as accessible and welcoming as possible. Below you’ll find information about the accessibility services and accommodations available during the convention. If you have an accessibility requirement that isn’t covered here, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Assistance Dogs

Pets are not permitted at the convention. If you use an assistance dog or an assistance dog-in-training, please contact us before the convention.

Please note that you may be asked to complete a form and/or provide additional information or verification.

Bag Permit

In some areas at the convention, such as the Game Room, large bags are not permitted. However, we understand that this isn’t practical for everyone. You may request a Bag Permit if you need to carry medication that must remain with you at all times.

To request a Bag Permit, please contact us. Please note: You may be asked to fill in a form and/or provide additional information or verification.

You can collect your Bag Permit at the Information Desk during the convention. Once you’ve received your permit, make sure to clip the badge to your bag where it is clearly visible.

Dietary Requirements

The vendors at Troy’s Food Court offer a wide variety of food and drinks, including vegetarian and vegan options. As menus and dietary options vary by vendor, please consult the Troy’s Food Court page for specific menu and allergen information.

NH Koningshof also offers a wide range of options for different dietary requirements at both breakfast and the dinner buffet. For more information, please contact NH Koningshof directly.

If you have dietary requirements for medical reasons that cannot be accommodated by the hotel or Troy’s Food Court, please contact us before the convention.

Please note that bringing your own food or drinks onto the convention grounds is not permitted. For more information, please refer to our Convention Policies (Huisregels).

Medical Conditions Affecting Queueing

If you have a medical condition or disability that prevents you from standing in a queue for extended periods of time, please contact us using our web form before the convention. You may qualify for a Line Skip Pass.

To be considered for a Line Skip Pass, you may be required to complete an application form, provide supporting documentation or verification and agree to the terms and conditions of the Line Skip Pass. Eligibility is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Sensory Needs

Conventions can be busy, crowded and noisy. If you need a quieter place to take a break, please visit the Information Desk and we’ll point you to a suitable location whenever possible.

Wheelchair Accessibility

Abunai! takes place in a convention centre, with all convention activities located on the ground floor. This makes the entire convention fully accessible to wheelchair users. Hotel rooms on the first and second floors can be reached by lift.

Reserved wheelchair spaces are available at the Main Stage for attendees who use a wheelchair or another mobility aid. If you would like to use one of these spaces, please speak to a steward before the show starts and they will escort you to the designated area.

Need Accessibility Assistance?

We recognise that not all disabilities are visible and that we may not have covered every accessibility requirement on this page. If you have an accessibility requirement that is not covered on this page, please contact us before the convention. We’ll be happy to discuss your needs and will do our best to provide a suitable solution where reasonably possible.

If you require assistance during the convention, our Stewards and Information Desk staff will be more than happy to help!
